Payroll Specialist
The Human Resources department is dedicated to supporting the entire journey of employees (and potential employees), from the first contact with Xpand IT.
It ensures that the recruitment process is rigorous and that the onboarding is welcoming, so everyone feels well received and integrated. It is responsible for the effective management of all benefits, partnerships, and protocols, as well as the mission to foster the Xpanders community, always aiming to promote the human culture of Xpand IT, built on strong values.
The main goal is to create lasting and trustworthy relationships that ensure the personal and professional development of each Xpander.
YOUR ROLE
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for various activities in the company’s payroll cycle and for reporting correctly to the Payroll & Benefits Lead.
Success in this role requires method and strong organizational skills to input and maintain relevant employee information in the organization’s systems. An innovative mindset is also essential to optimize the payroll process stages and the software used daily.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Handling and validating the entire end-to-end payroll process
- Inputting and maintaining human resources data in the internal systems
- Contributing to the optimization of the relevant software
- Ensuring timely communication of declarative obligations to legal entities (Tax Authority, Social Security, Compensation Funds, Insurance)
- Managing all contractual matters (admissions, renewals, and contract terminations)
- Overseeing the management of processes related to professional internships and IEFP incentive measures, as well as meeting SST requirements
- Managing and benchmarking employee benefits
- Reviewing and implementing internal policies and procedures with a continuous improvement perspective
- Working on the setup and monitoring of KPIs
- Analyzing and providing clarification of doubts to various stakeholders
- Reporting all relevant area information to the Payroll & Benefits Lead
SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
- University degree in Human Resources, Management, Finance, or Law
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the field
- Experience in payroll activities in outsourcing environments is a plus
- Solid knowledge of payroll calculations, labor legislation, tax, and contribution codes
- Critical and analytical thinking, with attention to detail and data cross-checking
- Excellent work ethic
- Experience with collaborative platforms and ERPs
- Experience in analyzing and improving administrative processes to make the organization more agile
- Oral and written communication skills in an informal environment
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle challenging situations
- Strong time management and personal organization skills to work in a multitasking environment with sudden priorities
- Discretion, rigor, and a sense of confidentiality
- Proficiency in IT tools for general users
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English
