Business Analyst
The Digital Xperience area at Xpand IT is a fast-growing technological team that focuses on Microsoft and Mobile technologies. Its main mission is to deliver high-quality software solutions that respond to end-user needs, in a continuously demanding and fast-paced technological world, providing the best experience in terms of personalisation, performance and features. We take advantage of a set of state-of-the-art frameworks and tools such as Kubernetes for the deployment of Azure Apps and .Net Core for Web development. But that’s not all: our team also works with Kotlin and Swift for native App development and Xamarin or Flutter for cross-platform App development, deploying and integrating our Apps into Microsoft and Azure ecosystems.
YOUR ROLE
As a Business Analyst at Xpand IT, you will play a critical role as a strategic advisor to analyse, suggest and design improvements to business rules and processes. You will act as a facilitator among all team members, guaranteeing correct and appropriate communication. As the main bridge between the team and stakeholders, you will provide the project stakeholders with crucial insights and recommendations for improvement.
Your daily activities will include:
- Working across our entire range of solutions, bridging with clients, development team, and other internal teams such as Project Managers and UX/UI, to meet client requirements;
- Learning and documenting all processes in order to meet all client business needs;
- Translating business rules into clear and systematic functional requirements;
- Searching for the best functional solution inorder to respond to the business problem;
- Using critical thinking to propose alternatives when appropriate;
- Ensuring proper delivery of functional specifications;
- Writing user stories that enable IT to scope the client’s needs with minimal unknowns and assumptions as possible;
- Writing specific acceptance criteria for each User Story, defining the conditions that must be met;
- Facilitating discussionand overall acceptance of the end solution;
- Ensuring compliance withthe implemented methodology and processes;
- Ensuring that the end solution meets the established and agreed-upon requirements.
SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
- MSc / BSc in Information Technology Management;
- Experience in IT systems functional analysisin one or more business areas (Banking, Telco, Utilities);
- Experience in contact and communicating with different project stakeholders, such as Product Owners and Project Managers;
- Ability to synthesise and systematise business processes andunderstand their translation into an IT system;
- Knowledge about writing business rule specifications using language Gherkin;
- Willingness to support IT teams while testing, delivering and deploying software solutions;
- Active team player, able to gather information from all teams in order to produce flawless system designs;
- 3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects or in similar activities described above;
- Critical and Big Picture Thinking;
- Problem Solving;
- Sound communication skills;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
