Quality Improvement Specialist

Xpand IT’s Quality Improvement Team’s mission is to continuously improve every company process and support the team to improve their day-to-day work quality. It ensures that software development teams know and apply our work methodology – Xpagile – and promote best practices implementation related to Data Protection and Information Security (ISO 27001). This team is also responsible for ensuring implementation of our Integrated Management System, through internal audits, management of performance framework, collection and analysis of indicators, training, coaching and maintenance of the system in all its aspects.

YOUR ROLE

As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you will be part of the Quality Improvement Team. Our mission is the continuous improvement of every company process and to help teams improve their processes. We ensure that every development team applies our work methodology – Xpagile – and we promote best practices related to Data Protection and Security.

We are also responsible for implementing our Management System, through internal audits, metrics, training, coaching, and overall system maintenance.

Your daily activities will include:

  • Support our teams as an Agile Coach;
  • Create a positive impact in our teams fostering Agile values at all levels. • Be a mentor, coach and servant leader and make use of the agile principles;
  • Inspire teams and the organization to constantly improve the Ways of Working;
  • Provides hands-on Agile coaching to teams on all aspects of Scrum practices;
  • Coach teams and stakeholders in improving their Agile thinking and Scrum processes;
  • If needed, moderate agile meetings such as refining the backlog, planning, review as well as retrospectives;
  • Guide the teams to develop metrics and estimates, and periodically evaluate the process to become better in making predictions and reduce possible risks;
  • Capture feedback and continuously improve our processes, guidance, training materials and content.
SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
  • Academic Degree in Engineering, Informatics, Management or similar fields of study;
  • More than 2 years of experience in developing and training teams in Agile model as Scrum Master or Agile Coach;
  • Consolidated knowledge and application of agile methodologies (e.g. Scum, Kanban), as well as of Scaled Agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe, LeSS);
  • Knowledge and experience in support tools for agile methodologies (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Azure Devops);
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint;
  • Knowledge and experience in identifying and applying OKR;
  • Deep understanding of Agile and Lean thinking, values and principles;
  • Fluency in English (writen and spoken);
  • Creative, proactive, team player and critical thinking;
  • Good problem solver in a collaborative way;
  • Ability to adapt to different contexts, teams and clients;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Ability to think out of the box and create multidisciplinary solutions.
