Azure AI Engineer
The Digital Xperience area at Xpand IT is a fast-growing technological team that focuses on Microsoft and Mobile technologies. The main mission is to deliver high-quality software solutions that respond to end-user needs, in a continuously demanding and fast-paced technological world, providing the best experience in terms of personalisation, performance and features. We take advantage of a set of state-of-the-art frameworks and tools such as Kubernetes for deploying Azure Apps and .Net Core for Web development.
But that’s not all: our team also works with Kotlin and Swift for native App development and Xamarin or Flutter for cross-platform App development, deploying and integrating our Apps into Microsoft and Azure ecosystems.
YOUR ROLE
As an Azure AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing AI solutions on the Azure platform. You will also have the opportunity to work in various domains such as web, mobile or anything else that makes sense according to the challenge at hand!
Your daily activities will include:
- Participating in the architecture of C#/.NET-based software solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for leveraging AI technologies
- Designing scalable and secure AI solutions on the Azure platform, integrating AI solutions with existing systems and applications
- Developing, testing, and deploying machine learning models using Azure Cognitive Services and related frameworks
- Optimizing and fine-tuning machine learning models for improved performance and accuracy
- Conducting regular monitoring and maintenance of deployed AI solutions
- Ensuring data security, privacy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with software engineers, data scientists and other stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, best practices, AI and Azure trends, providing suggestions/recommendations that enable technology innovation

SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Bachelor’s/ Master‘s degree in Information Technology Management and/or Computer Science
- Technical knowledge (+2 years) of Cloud Azure and Azure Cognitive Services
- Good level of English (written and spoken)
- Proven experience in software development using C# or .NET framework-related technologies
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of Azure and Azure Cognitive Services (including but not limited to Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Speech Services)
- Proficiency in developing and deploying machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning or similar frameworks
- Solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, algorithms and techniques
- Experience with data storage and retrieval using Azure services, such as Azure Storage and Azure SQL Database
- Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering and model evaluation techniques
- Knowledge of Cloud architecture and distributed computing principles
- Good teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and easy to work within a team
- Ability to work in a hybrid flexible regime, combining remote work and on-site collaboration
